the relationship between quality of life and job involvement among librarians of shahidchamran university and jondishapoor university of medical sciences libraries

abstract poupuse: this study investigated the relationship between quality of work life and job involvement among librarians of shahid chamran university and jondishapoor university of medical sciences of ahvaz. methodology: this is a descriptive study. all librarians of the two universities (60 persons) were surveyed by using quality of work life and job involvement questionnaires. finding: data were analyzed with pearson correlation and multi regression method. the results indicated that there was a positive and significant relationship between quality of work life and two of its components, namely integration and continued growth opportunities, with job involvement (p<0.05). moreover, the multiple regression analysis showed significant positive relationships between the components of quality of work life with job involvement (p< 0.05). in other words, 29 percent of the variance of job involvement in librarians was explained by the components of quality of work life, where the integration and environment safety were more influential.
